…Kelly Lundberg!
Born in Scotland, Edinburgh, Kelly Lundberg, founder of StyleMeDivine.com, has been living and working in Dubai for a little over 13 years. “For the last ten years I have been growing an international styling agency empowering women (and men) to look good and feel fantastic in the clothes they wear.” In 2014, Kelly set up the ‘Kelly Lundberg Style Academy 2.0’, and has since been featured in the likes of OK!, Grazia, Harvey Nichols and InStyle magazines. “Naming my business wasn’t difficult. My mantra was, and still is, “life’s to short to look just fine – every day you should look divine,” she tells us. Without a doubt, this woman is just a hop, skip and a jump away from world domination, so now is your chance to steal Kelly’s style from her exclusive shoot with The Luxury Closet (TLC).
Off Duty Dressing
“My personal style is very much mood dependant, sometimes edgy, sometimes simple, but whatever I’m wearing, there will always be a unique touch with attention to detail. I love to be able to instantly change up my look, or create an impact with a statement pair of shoes, or wearing a fun accessory. I am really into palm bangles and ear-cuff’s at the moment.”
Look 1: Chanel Shirt; Michael Kors Jeans; Jimmy Choo Pumps; Tag Heuer Watch (worn throughout); Dolce & Gabbana Bag; Dior Earrings (worn throughout)
Welcome to Glam Rock
“There was so much to choose from on TLC, it was hard to narrow my options for the shoot down! I never can resist a leather jacket and loved this purple DSquared2 piece. Such a refreshing change from black! Always a sucker for Louboutin, this clutch was divine and totally to die for as well. And the dress? It has to be this Peter Pilotto number – the fit, the fabric, the cut, it’s all so chic!”
Look 2: Dsquared2 Jacket; Christian Louboutin Bag; Christian Louboutin Shoes; Prabal Gurung Dress
Pretty in Pink
“My first experience working with The Luxury Closet was when I was styling a client who was in need of a major wardrobe detox. We sifted out everything that didn’t suit her style personality and body shape. I knew of TLC’s reputation as the go-to online marketplace for buying, selling and consigning pre-owned luxury items. TLC offered my client a platform to sell the clothes she never wore, and buy new ones, which has made a significant contribution to her new seasons wardrobe.
You have created that additional space for clients who don’t enjoy online shopping, to come in and try before they buy; this makes for a personable experience.”
Look 3: Peter Pilotto Dress; Dolce & Gabbana Bracelet; Christian Louboutin Shoes; Gucci Clutch
In Lace We Trust
“I enjoy wearing designs by Milly, her fun style is a perfect match for my personality. As is Mary Katrantzou. When it comes to shoes, it’s a battle between my favourite French red soles and my latest lust-haves, Valentino’s. My style icon has to be Victoria Beckham. I like the fact that as a style icon, her designs are recognised as ‘confident simplicity with artful use of colour’.”
Look 4: Elie Saab Dress; Isabel Marant Shoes; Dior Ring
“My favourite trends for SS15 are ones that works with my hair colour! (I owe my signature style to my wonderful hair stylist Sharon, Salon Director at Salon Ink.) So something easy to wear, like head-to-toe white. When I am looking to make a stylish statement, I can’t see past a midi skirt, it’s such an elegant length. I am having a total obsession with denim shirts at the moment though – they go with everything!
Fashion faux pas? Visible underwear! There are so many solutions and really no excuses, ladies.”
