Velvet and Brocade and Silk… Oh My! …and lets not forget Dorothy’s embellished shoes.
Fall fashion is full of exciting and elegant fabrics, designed to keep us feeling warm and looking stylish. The key to working these fabrics into an outfit is by letting them be the center of attention. Flaunt a statement jacket, pair of shoes or trousers and instantly elevate your attire to regal status.
Velvet
Velvet has undeniably taken over this Fall, from crushed to brushed, we want it all. Reviving itself from Autumn seasons past, it’s time to buy back into this trend and give your style a luxury update. Trust in Fendi, Vetements and Stella McCartney alike and be brave by opting for a coloured piece, or stick to classic look with black.

Brocade
Brocade, originating from the Early Middle Ages, was once only available to the wealthiest of royals. Lucky for us now, we can all dress like Queens (without the added politics). This Brocade trend is perfect for this time of year. Designers such as Roberto Cavalli and Prada filled their runways with thick woven fabrics and metallic embroidery. The perfect way to keep cozy in the run up to the Festive season.

Silk
Arguably, there is no more opulent fabric than silk and no better time to take your pyjamas out of the bedroom according to Calvin Klein. With all of these thick fabrics on trend at the moment, the perfect way to break up a heavy outfit is with a flash of silk to add a little femininity, comfort and shine.

Embellishment
With festivities around every corner and fireworks in the sky, one of our favourite of these fall trends is embellishment. Flashes of embellishment on shoe heels and handbags are popular among brands such as Dolce & Gabbana, or you can go full sparkle in something from Balmain.
